Resting on the border of Beacon Hill and the Back Bay, Deluca’s Market is one of the only family-run grocery stores left in Boston. Although the grocery and produce store has been in the same location for over 100 years it wasn’t until the 1950s that wine and beer was added to their repertoire.
The shop is small, but has a diverse selection. The prices are competitive with the other stores in the area but this wouldn’t be our spot for regular wine shopping. Like the over-priced grocery store portion of Deluca’s Market, this is a great place to pick up incidentals on your way home from work or to grab picnic supplies on your way to the Commons but it isn’t designed for regular shopping unless you’re special ordering cases and living in the condos of Beacon Hill.
