For some reason, Charles Street, running through Beacon Hill to the Back Bay contains four wine stores in just over a quarter mile. Charles Street Liquor takes the prize for the largest as well as the most diverse wine selection on Beacon Hill.

Carrying mostly crowd and wallet pleasing wines, the store is able to pass savings onto their customers because they are able to purchase in bulk – or at least “bulk” for Beacon Hill. While the store is not worth a special trip to check out, it is the leading wine supplier for the neighborhood. If you live in Beacon Hill, this store will be your best friend.

P.S. For Scotch drinkers, they carry over 150 different Single Malts. They also have close to 1,000 different beers.
