Want to fine tune your cooking skills? Well, this series is for you. Kitchen Basics Series covers some of the essential foundations in cooking that you can easily make at home from pasta to souffles. They are the basics of our favorite things and can be used as a vehicle for almost anything! They’ll cover the basic techniques and then explore a variety of options to enliven your creative culinary spirit and think outside the box.

Sushi and Sake is back and better than ever. Michael J. Simkin , world-renowned sake expert, will be giving you all the info you ever wanted on rice wine, while the chefs from next door at Absolute Asia will show us a thing or two about rolling sushi (and eating it).

Our good friend and former wine director, David Raines of Vineyard Research and Chef Gerard Lopez of Elephant Walk are teaming up to deliver a unique display of French cuisine, paired with arguably the best wines in the world - pinot noirs and chardonnays from Burgundy. You’ve had to be living under a rock not to have heard about this event (maybe that’s a little harsh). But come see what all the fuss is about as 2 wine experts go head-to-head in a heated food and wine death match. Competitors: Erin O’Shea of Eastern Standard & Michael Meagher of Sel de la Terre/L’Espalier.

World-class wine educator, George Foote, will be presenting some of the great products from St Michelle Wine Estates in the often underrated, overlooked region in the US, Washington State.
Beer 101 - Friday, April 25th, 7-8:30, complimentary
Kicking off our new beer education series with a complimentary Beer 101 class once a month through June. Nate Kruback, beer aficionado, will break it down by components, history, production, and the evolution of a complex beverage industry.
